PRINT FROM FILE SERVICE
Print From File means we print whatever you send us without changing your file in any way or trying to interpret what you want. We don't tweak files or try to match colours in the file. This speeds up lead times for samples and reduces costs. It also puts you in full control of the process of creating your own custom printed fabric. Send us a file, we print and send you a sample, you either approve the result and we print your meterage or you edit your file and resubmit. It's as simple as that!
COMPLETE DESIGN SERVICE

Years of experience and expertise means our designers produce to the highest standard with polish and professionalism, translating your imaginative design concepts into beautifully printed fabric. Damson & Slate is an interiors collection edited by home designer and stylist Hilary Lowe. They have a beautiful collection of homewares including fabric printed at Alexander Maverick inspired by traditional Welsh weaves and vintage oils and watercolours painted by Hilary’s Grandmother. AM were commissioned to translate these heirloom art pieces into beautifully printed fabric, paying particular attention to how the designs repeat and quality of colour. Damson & Slate designs are typically printed on Natural Linen Union.

FOXY PHEASANT
Foxy Pheasant, created by Amanda Harris-Lea, brings together her passions for the sporting countryside and country home interiors. Alexander Maverick worked with Foxy Pheasant to create a range of designs based on game bird feathers. We sampled feathers from photos Amanda supplied and created repeating designs for both cock and hen pheasants and partridges. The resulting prints look stunning on Natural Linen and sumptuous on fine velvet.

TUFFET.CO
Recommended by The Independent magazine, Tuffet.Co create the most beautiful pouffes using sustainable wool and covered in a range of stunning fabrics. Deborah Reyner, the creative hand behind Tuffet.Co approached AM to develop a range of printed herringbone designs. The results, when printed on Natural Linen Union are stunning, creating an aesthetic which is greater than the sum of the parts. As well as pouffes, Tuffet.Co also sell the linen printed at AM as cushions or by the metre in a wide range of colours.

BESPOKE PRINTING Q&A
Q. What fabrics can you print onto?
A. We can print onto a wide range of cotton, linen, viscose, and polyester fabrics. From stock we can print on the three bases shown here. Other bases are available on request. Please contact us for further clarification.
Q. What is the cost of custom fabric printing?
A. The price depends on the fabric quality you choose, quantity ordered and ink coverage of design. Please contact us for a quotation.
Q. What file types can you accept?
A. As a general rule it is best to send us the file in the native format of the application it was designed in. We can accept most file formats including; TIF, PSD, AI, AVA or JPG format. Please contact us if you need further clarification.
Q. What resolution should I create my design in?
A. Repeating tile files should be a minimum of 180dpi and a maximum of 300dpi at the desired print size.
Q. How will you colour match my design?
A. For our Print from File Service we will not colour manage your files – you are in complete control of that process: transfer us your file, we then print and send you your finished fabric. We do recommend that you first order a printed sample on your chosen base cloth to ensure colours are as you want them before we print your fabric - this is one option or you can send your file and we complete your order. For our Complete Design Service, you can share a hard-copy colour example or choose from our colour palette.
Q. Do you have a minimum or maximum production order for custom fabric printing?
A. We print from one metre to thousands of metres.
Q. What are your lead times?
A. Depending on the printing schedule we generally produce a sample within 3 days. For production meterage, most jobs can be completed within 2 weeks.
Q. Can I supply my own custom fabric for you to print on?
A. Yes - subject to surcharge and certain terms/conditions. We will also test your fabric for print suitability.
Q. How can I send my file to you?
A. The best way to send us files is through WeTransfer or similar online file transfer service. These are typically free and very easy to use.
